In a single clap of wings...

Mythical bird, feathers of flaming scarlet and
gold, it is said that you nestled near the cool
waters and lived on dew; You respond to the
name of  'Phoenix' and it is believed that you
only existed at any one time; Truly a mystery
to man is your long life span - some hundreds
of years they say;

King of the birds, bursting into flames at your life
end, how is it that you arise from your ashes in a
single clap of your wings - up in the city of the sun?
It is said of you that you are harmless to man and
that you sang the most enchanting songs to seduce
the Goddess of the sun every morning at dawn;

Solar bird, with eyes of the finest blue like polished
sapphires illuminating the sky; Bonding with the
rising sun, dying and aborning all at once across
cultures & throughout time - O' what an awesome
symbol of creation & new beginnings...
